The 2010 census reported the population of
Borden County was 641.

Gail is the county seat of Borden County and
covers a total of 906 square miles, with 899
square land miles, and 7 square miles of water.

Borden County was created in 1876, and was
named for Gail Borden, Jr., the inventor of
condensed milk.
