Ector County was 137,130.

Odessa is the county seat of Ector County and
covers 902 square miles.

Ector County was founded in 1893, and was
named for Mathew Ector, a Confederate General
in the American Civil War..

Ector County is included in the Odessa, Texas
Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), as well as
the Midland-Odessa Combined Statistical Area.
