Area Agency on Aging
The mission of the Area Agency on Aging of the Permian Basin is to be this area's visible leader and advocate in facilitating those supportive services and opportunities that enable all older citizens to be able to live dignified, independent and productive lives.
Criminal Justice
The Permian Basin Law Enforcement Academy offers training and certification courses for peace officers in the Permian Basin region. A 17-week certification course and a series of quarterly courses are available through the academy.

PBRPC’s Homeland Security Department’s major purposes are to: provide information and assistance to PBRPC’s local government members in the planning and implementing of homeland security programs;integrate regional planning and priorities with state agency activities; assist TARC, TEEX, and Governor’s Homeland Security Director; the Division of Emergency Management (GDEM), and other state agencies that administer emergency preparedness programs in their work with PBRPC’s local government members.
