PBRPC is the Permian Basin Regional Transportation Planning Organization
In Texas, Regional Transportation Planning Organizations (RTPOs) provide rural transportation planning support to places located outside of designated metropolitan planning areas that are served by an MPO. As such, PBRPC serves the area by working with the region's transportation providers and stakeholders to improve public access to and awareness of transportation. PBRPC hosts meetings on the last Friday of every other month at our office, with a hybrid option available.
Review our calendar or contact us for more information about the monthly meeting.

TxDOT El Paso/Far West Texas Truck Parking Action Plan
This action plan builds on the 2020 Statewide Truck Parking Study. It focuses on safe truck parking in the El Paso and Odessa TxDOT districts. Links to the action plan and fact sheet can be found here. Additionally, TxDOT has developed a StoryMap that goes over the current issues and the proposed solutions. This plan focuses on Reeves, Ward, Pecos, and Terrell counties in the Permian Basin, in addition to all counties in the El Paso district.
Truck drivers are valuable to our society. They are essential workers, and their rest is very important. Safe parking allows them to get the proper rest to continue working and driving well the following day.
