The purpose of your Seminole Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is to promote, assist and enhance economic development and business enterprise in and around Seminole. The SEDC was authorized by the development corporation act of Texas to collect a portion of sales tax to provide economic development incentives. The SEDC provides incentives based on a criteria which consists of: number of new jobs created, annual payroll and the amount of your capital investment. The corporation is also able to offer state and local incentives, which include access to forgivable loans or low interest loans. These incentives can be provided to both new and existing businesses.
