Regionally Coordinated Transportation Planners Meetings

PBRPC is the lead agency for TxDOT's Odessa District and collaborates with transportation stakeholders as part of the Regionally Coordinated Transportation Planners (RCTP). The mission of the RCTP is to advance the objectives of the Five-Year Regionally Coordinated Transportation Plan to improve transportation access and availability across the region. The most recent plan was developed in 2021, in coordination with many transportation stakeholders. It is active from 2022 through 2026. View the plan at the link below. 

2021 Five-Year Regionally Coordinated Transportation Plan

RCTP meetings are held on the last Thursday of every other month with hybrid attendance options, allowing more participation from stakeholders. These meetings provide a forum for attendees to discuss their projects with others share the goal of improving regional transportation. The projects discussed tie back to the goals listed in the Five-Year Plan and further its goals.

Regional Transportation Planning Organization

The PBRPC is the Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO) in the Permian Basin region. The Permian Basin's RTPO is governed by the elected, county officials and works together to support rural transportation planning. The RTPO serves as a forum for communication between local and transportation officials.
