Permian Basin Law Enforcement Academy
Texas law enforcement academies share a common commitment to provide rigorous training focused on professionalism, ethical behavior, and community service. PBLEA's strives to develop competent officers ready to uphold public trust and safety in support of TCOLE's mission "to ensure that the people of Texas are served by highly trained and ethical law enforcement officers.
The Permian Basin Law Enforcement Academy (PBLEA) is a division of the Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission (PBRPC). The PBRPC serves a 17-county region in West Texas and has operated a regional law enforcement academy for over 42 years. PBLEA Training Academy holds a current certification through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Our goal is to provide essential training to peace officers and county corrections officers by conducting licensure and in-service courses in compliance with state mandates.
