What some might not know is that our region is also rich in sunshine and wind. The Basin region has steady and consistent wind and approximately 265 sunny days per year. This makes the region the perfect place to generate solar and wind power!

The Permian Basin region consists of 17 different counties, each of which is home to Opportunity Zones for economic development and business opportunities! The Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission (PBRPC) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) are dedicated to using the funding available to enhance and expand existing corridors, roadways, and infrastructure to ensure that oil, gas, wind, and solar companies all have the best properties available for their businesses!
