Without the pipelines allowing the state’s crude and natural gas to flow to end-users, Texas’ oil and natural gas industry would not be the national and global leader in production that it has been for the last number of years. A new study from Texas Tech shows that, outside of the upstream sector, the midstream sector is an economic powerhouse in itself.
